Overview

This page explains what personal information TradieMate AI collects, why we use it, who we share it with, and how you can contact us about it. TradieMate AI is an introduction and scheduling platform for Australian residents and tradies.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and (for tradies) your trade, business name and ABN if provided.
• Contact details — phone number, so a tradie can call you back and confirm a booking, or so a customer can reach you.
• Address details — the street address or suburb where the work is needed, used to match you with local tradies and service areas.
• Job details — a description of the work, urgency, preferred times and budget, used to qualify leads and draft quotes.
• Job photos — photos you upload to describe the job, which may be reviewed by AI to help the tradie understand the work.
• Booking and message data — your booking requests, holds, confirmations, cancellations and chat messages with a tradie's AI assistant.

Why we use it

• To match residents with suitable local tradies based on trade, service area and availability.
• To let tradies capture, qualify and respond to enquiries, and to prepare advisory draft quotes they approve.
• To create and track booking holds, confirmations and cancellations.
• To send you updates about your bookings by email and in the app.
• To run and improve the platform, including troubleshooting and preventing misuse.

Who we share it with

We share the relevant job and contact details between the resident and the tradie involved in a booking, so they can arrange the work. We use third-party service providers for hosting, authentication and email delivery — these providers process information on our behalf and are bound by their own obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Job photos and AI

Photos you upload are used to help the tradie understand the job. They may be analysed by AI to assist with the advisory draft. Don't upload photos of sensitive documents (such as passports or licences) as job photos. Licence and insurance documents are handled separately as part of tradie verification.

Security

We protect personal information using row-level access controls on our database, server-side validation and authenticated access for sensitive actions. No method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to keep records of bookings and quotes. You can ask us to delete your account (see below).

Contacting us and your choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, through our Beta support page. For issues about a specific job or payment, contact the tradie directly — TradieMate AI does not hold or process payment and cannot access your payment records.

We may update this policy as the Beta progresses. The date above shows when it was last updated.
